– Hello, today on Batchelor on a Budget we are making roasted trees. Broccoli. This is going to be super easy. Wea re gonna roast these
with a bit of olive oil, garlic and nutritional yeast for some delicious vegan cheesy flavor. This may be the best roasted
broccoli you’ve ever had. So, give it a try, or just enjoy the food porn. Let’s do it. This dish is going to cost
us less than two dollars. So, about a buck a serving. Get excited. Let’s roast this oven
to 400, bring it high. We’re just going to cut
these into equal size, so we’ll cut off the ends first and we can still use these, we’re not going to waste any of that. Also have a couple cloves of garlic. We’ll just mince that. If you don’t have fresh garlic you can use about a teaspoon of powdered garlic. In a large mixing bowl, add six cups of your chopped broccoli, your two cloves of minced garlic, two tablespoons of olive oil, a teaspoon of salt, and a teaspoon of cracked black pepper. Then our special ingredient, one tablespoon of nutritional yeast. This will add that delicious
cheesy vegan flavor. Mix that all around. Or just go ahead and toss, whoo! That’s great raw, too. Ummm. And we’ll add our broccoli. Now what we want to do here
is make sure it’s spread out. So it looks like I may use two sheets. What we don’t want is them touching, because then they’ll steam. And we want these to roast. Another way you can make sure
they roast instead of steam is make sure you dry them
off after you wash them. These are gonna go in
for about 10, 15 minutes. Out she comes. Ooo, steaming. Yuuuum, look at that browning. Oh, boy, let’s garnish
this with some lemon juice. A little acid to brighten
these flavors up a bit. And we are done. Oh, man look at this. I’m gonna eat this all myself. Who knew? Broccoli. Magical little trees, so delicious. If your mom made this for you as a kid, you wouldn’t have grown
up hating vegetables. If this is your first time here, please hit that subscribe button and hit the little notification thing so you actually get notified. I post a video every Tuesday,
