Dr. Andreas: Hello and welcome to another
episode of Kyäni Wellness TV. My name is Dr. Andreas Boettcher, member of
the Scientific Advisory Board here at Kyäni. Now, in today’s episode, you may have noticed
that I’ve actually got a new studio set and I certainly hope you like it and enjoy what
we have to offer. Now, in this episode, I’m going to be breaking
down in detail what makes our FIT20 performance protein and our HL5 protein incredibly unique
and unlike anything else you will truly find in the marketplace today. Now, today’s content is a little bit longer
than normal. And it was recorded from a live webinar that
I did for our business partners here at Kyäni. So it is jam-packed with a lot of information. It gives you a really high-level overview
of all of the individual ingredients and what makes this product unique. And if you would like to find out more specifically
about each of the individual ingredients, make sure you search throughout Kyäni Wellness
TV as I have a separate episode for every single ingredient found in these two powerful
proteins. I’ll see at the end of the video. [00:01:06]
[music] [00:01:22] Mary: Good evening, this is Mary Louise Zeller
in Salt Lake City, Utah. And we have a very special guest tonight,
Dr. Andreas Boettcher. And Dr. Andreas Boettcher is on the Kyäni
Medical Board. He is also very passionate, very enthusiastic
person about health, fitness, well being. And he participated in the formulation of
our new protein nutritionals with our Kyäni Wellness products. And so I’ve invited him here tonight to talk
to us about why and how these products are different, how they work, what is the best
way for us to use them, and we’re going to let Dr. Andreas talk with us and then at the
end, we’ll have a question and answer period. So Dr. Andreas, thank you so very much for
being here. We’re all very excited. Dr. Andreas: Well, thank you for having me. Are you able to hear me okay? Mary: Hear you fine. Dr. Andreas: All right. Wonderful. Well, welcome, everyone. It’s an honor to spend time with you here. And as Mary mentioned, I’m a member of the
Scientific Advisory Board here at Kyäni. A passionate fitness enthusiast, who really
prides himself on practicing what I preach, not only for myself, but for my wife, and
for my boys, and my family. And what I’m about to share with you literally
could truly change the direction and the course of your life. And so I really want you to pay attention,
even if you do have a healthy level of skepticism because after all, there are a lot of choices
in the market today, and there are a lot of products that are available. At the end of the day, it comes down to the
choices that you make and what you’re going to be doing for your family. My goal tonight in tonight’s presentation
is to really just arm you with some information that will challenge you, but also educate
you because I’m very passionate, as Mary had mentioned, about health, and well-being, and
fitness. And I’ll be the first one to tell you that
you can’t out supplement a poor diet. However, if you are having a poor diet, you
darn well better be supplementing because we need the micronutrients that are found
in our products whether you get them from Kyäni or not. The question is, are you? And so in today’s presentation, I’m gonna
be breaking down two of our newest products, our FIT20 performance protein, a true breakthrough
product that is creating a new category in what I call today’s performance protein. It’s unlike any other protein that you will
find in the marketplace today. And in addition to, I will also be breaking
down our new HL5, our collagen protein. And so we got a lot of information I’m going
to be sharing with you. So I’m going to go fairly quickly so I can
also allow some time for some Q&A. Now, also, please make sure that you subscribe
to Kyäni Wellness TV. It’s more than just information on our products,
but the science behind micro and macro nutrition to help you to live a truly healthy life and
lifestyle that’s free of pain, free of prescription medication so you can age on your terms, which
really brings me to a perfect segue way into this very first slide, which is let’s talk
about muscles for a moment. Now, the moment I usually mention that word
when speaking around the world, it’s usually the images of iron-clad bodies, toned physiques,
and yes, six-packs. Well, yes, that may be the look that many
of us are after, including myself, but I’m going to tell you right now that does not
necessarily mean that you are healthy. What I want to talk to you more about is the
functionality of muscles because what we don’t realize and what many of us don’t realize
is that one of the biggest threats to your health and well being is a little, but not
so little known condition called sarcopenia where your body starts to lose anywhere from
3%, to 8%, to 10% of muscle every single decade after the age of 30. The average adult male after the age of 60,
without any exercise and the proper nutrition has lost anywhere upwards of 30 % to 40% of
their muscle mass. Why is it significant? Well, postural consideration, performance
considerations, movement consideration, not to mention, you are two to three times more
likely to develop a fracture as a result of a fall, accident, or injury without proper
muscle tone and definition. And so it’s very important to understand,
as I work on getting the slide to work, not sure what’s happening here, there we go, I
want to shift the conversation about what muscles really are. Muscles are the foundation to the structure
of your body, your skeletal system that allows us to everything that we enjoy in life. And for many of us, we often take for granted. And until it’s lost, we often don’t realize
what we had because muscles are more than just a six-pack, they’re more than just a
magazine cover, they’re more than just a look. It’s about maintaining strength, coordination,
increasing bone density, lowering risk of injury, improving postural health, and even
boosting your metabolism. So it’s about time that we bring awareness
to really what protein means beyond what many consider to be a “bodybuilding supplement.” So not only do you need to get enough protein
because about 60% of the population is not getting enough protein to meet their minimum
protein requirements. Now why is this significant and why is it
important? Well, protein, when it’s digested is broken
down into its individual amino acids. The amino acids are then reassembled into
the basic building blocks that make up not only our muscle, but our ligaments, our tendons,
our bone, structural support, metabolism, energy. I mean, the list is truly endless. Not to mention, protein also has the highest
thermogenic effect of any of the macronutrients. Now, what are macronutrients? Well, macronutrients are your fat, are your
carbohydrates, and your protein. What is the thermogenic effect? Well, the thermogenic effect is the amount
of calories or energy that’s required to metabolize any one of the individual macros. See, fat, let’s say you consume 100 calories
of fat, well, only 3% to 5% of those calories go to metabolizing that fat into its individual
fatty acids where it can then be used for energy storage and so forth. So I want you to think about that for a minute. Carbohydrate is about 5% to 10%. So if you consume 100 grams, right, or a 100
calories of carbohydrate, only about 5 to 10 calories of those carbohydrates are going
to be used to break those carbohydrates down into individual glucose molecules where it
can then meet the mitochondria and then become ATP and generate energy and so forth. Protein, on the other hand, its thermogenic
effect is about 30% to 40%. So for every 100 calories that you consume
in protein, about 30 to 40 of those calories are used to digest that protein. This is significant for anyone who has a healthy
living goal and in particular a weight loss goal. It ignites the metabolic fire and provides
the fuel and gives you a nice sustainable energy output throughout the day. This is very important, not to mention getting
the right amount of the amino acids to prevent and reverse sarcopenia because sarcopenia
is not a death sentence of aging. You can still build muscles at any age. I’m now approaching 50 at the age of this
video, and I continue to get stronger and stronger, bench pressing 275 pounds in the
gym, leg pressing over 1,200 pounds, and I’m 50 years of age, and I’m doing more than many
20-year-olds in the gym. I share that with you not to impress you,
but more importantly to prove a point. Aging is a choice, and every single day you
choose how you are going to age. And what I have found throughout all my years
of medical practice as a chiropractor treating thousands of patients, that 99.9% of the population
is not taking care of the basic fundamentals when it comes to their micronutrients, like
your vitamins, your minerals, your antioxidants, your water-soluble antioxidants, your fat-soluble
antioxidants, and of course, the macronutrients, which I’ve just been talking about in the
right ratios, in the right amounts, to give their body what it needs. See, the fundamental principle that I’ve always
operated on is that your inner pharmacy is always, always going to be more powerful than
any outer pharmacy. But unfortunately, some marketing companies
today, big pharma are all teaching you that the only way you can be healthy and to be
well is to take their orange little bottle. And I’m going to argue with you that that
is not the case. In fact, it should be the last resort after
your basic foundational nutritional needs. And that’s why I’m excited and honored to
be a part of Kyäni, the world leader in today’s healthy living because our products are some
of the purest, cleanest that you will find in the marketplace today. Now, you’ve got to get out there and move. I can’t stress enough that without moving
it, you don’t move it, you lose it. We’ve all heard that cliche. Now, as old as it is, it still rings true. You’ve got to have enough vitamin D. Vitamin
D is absolutely critical in the assimilation of protein. It’s also absolutely critical in bone strength,
but more importantly, on the outer part of the bone, the cortices. The inner part of the inner matrix of the
bone is actually more collagen, and we’re going to be talking about that in a minute. So you have to have a combination of both. Now, we just doubled our vitamin D inside
our Sunset formula. And it is one of the most important nutrients
that I test and monitor on a regular basis. Science actually shows you can reduce your
risk of cancer, I’m not claiming we treat cancer, let’s just be clear, that you can
reduce your risk of developing any form of cancer by as high as 60% with the right amount
of vitamin D. You’ve also got to have enough Omega 3s. Omega 3s are also absolutely critical in the
assimilation and the synthesis of protein. But not to mention, I’m actually going to
be doing a Facebook live next week on a new study that the FDA actually released. It’s truly a blessing on how Omega 3s can
actually help to lower blood pressure. And I can actually say that without getting
in trouble. And for years, as a doctor, I’ve been teaching
my patients, you’ve got to take care of these macro and micronutrients. You have to get this right. Do that first, and I think you’d be amazed
at what your inner pharmacy can do. But a lot of people lost touch with that. They had lost hope in their body’s ability
to be healthy and well. And I have seen amazing miracles as being
not only in practice, but being a part of the scientific advisory board around the world
when people really put our products to properties because they are all designed to work together,
and I’ll get to maybe more of that a little bit later. You got to limit or just flat out cut out
the alcohol. It’s catabolic, it wreaks havoc, it’s toxic,
it is garbage, it absolutely provides no value whatsoever to your health and well being. Now, I know, don’t get rid of my wine habit,
you want to relax, it’s okay to have an occasional drink. I do as well. That being said, just limit it because it’s
counterintuitive, and it actually accelerates the process of sarcopenia. And you got to eliminate the processed foods. Eighty percent of today’s American diet is
nothing but pure garbage. I don’t even call it food. I mean, walk into any local convenience store
and you might find a token basket in the corner with some bananas and apples. Everything else, pretty much pure garbage. You might as well just throw it in the trash,
offering literally almost no nutritional value whatsoever. So let’s jump into some of our products, and
I’m going to start breaking some of these down. And I’m going to first talk about our Healthy
Living 5 that delivers to you five grams of hydrolyzed type one and type three bovine
collagen. I’m gonna talk about why bovine in just a
minute. But it’s a very convenient way for you to
get your protein needs. You don’t have to mix it, it’s already pre-made,
you literally just zip it, rip it, and sip it, and you are ready to go. And I love the citrus lime flavor. I often add it either to a hot tea at night. I will have it in between my morning and afternoon
meals. I’ll have it as an afternoon snack. Sometimes I’ll have it again before bed. And I’m going to be sharing with you some
testimonials as well about the phenomenal results of this product. But it’s not just any other collagen. We’ve added some synergistic ingredients to
help with its assimilation. Now, before I break those down, let’s talk
about collagen production because it does decline as we age, and it begins as early
as 30. And so it’s very important that we provide
this collagen to help support the structure because a good 70%, 80% of your bone is made
of collagen, your skin, your ligaments, your tendons. And when you don’t have the right collagen
needs met and the right amino acids, your body starts to break down, and as a result
it’s more prone to injury, it’s more prone to pain, it’s more prone to arthritis, it
is more prone to bone problems, osteoporosis, the list goes on. And so it’s very important that we get the
right amount of collagen. We don’t cook like we used to. I don’t know about you, but my mom used to
make these awesome bone broth soups, and we almost had them daily. And we really don’t do that anymore. And it’s very difficult to do that consistently. So we wanted to provide a way for you to be
able to get it consistently. Now, why bovine collagen? Well, number one, it’s actually been shown
to help maintain a healthy joint response, if you will, to help reduce joint pain. I’m not claiming that we’re treating…we
have to be so careful with the FDA in our language, but this is basically from science. And I can provide all the references maybe
at another time, but in particular, as it relates to osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis,
because why? Because it stimulates cartilage production,
which can help cushion your joints and reduce joint pain. It also helps to improve gut health by repairing
leaky gut. Now, leaky gut, the collagen in the intestinal
wall can actually break down and so kind of think of it like a filter that’s now become
very porous, allowing things to pass through the digestive tract into the body that shouldn’t
and that could cause everything from inflammation, to dementia, to mood problems, to depression,
the list is going on. And so these microscopic tears need to be
healed and repaired, and you do that with collagen. Now, one thing I wanted to mention is you’ll
hear so many people out there in the marketplace saying you need to have all five types of
collagen. That’s not true in my opinion. In fact, there’s actually over 28 different
forms of collagen. We chose type one and type three, some people
say, “Well, you also need to have type five,” type five is for placenta health. I don’t know how that relates to everyone’s
health and well being. But here’s my bigger point. Collagen is collagen. It’s broken down into the same amino acid
profile. It makes collagen everywhere. It’s not just discriminatory and only goes
to the knee, and only goes to the bone, or only goes to the gut. It makes collagen. Collagen is collagen. It’s the same amino acid profile that’s broken
down and then reassembled where it’s needed most. And so it was really just a simple choice. I think anyone that’s marketing you need all
five types, I would say why don’t you need all 28 because there’s really 28 of them. So you’re not really marketing all of them,
are you? That would be my rebuttal to that. And so it’s not in my opinion necessarily. I think it’s more marketing hype than actually
anything that you need. Feel free to research it on your own. It’s entirely up to you. The other thing about bovine collagen is that
it helps to speed athletic recovery when taken after a workout. So I do like to incorporate it with my FIT20
as a post-workout. We’ll talk a little bit more about that later. Collagen can also help recycle ATP. Now, ATP, adenosine triphosphate, is the energy
currency of the body. It helps the body to be more efficient, helps
increase muscular strength, and helps to increase power. I’m a huge proponent of telomere health, mitochondrial
health, reducing inflammation, getting in the right micronutrients. That is where the core of your anti-aging
efforts begin. And maintaining healthy mitochondria, which
is your energy powerhouse cell of the body that gives you energy is really critical. And so many people when they start using our
products and get the right micronutrients and start using collagen and start taking
care of mitochondria and start taking care of their telomeres. Telomeres are basically the protective end
caps to your DNA, and their length determines how well and how long you age. And due to lifestyle choices, they can actually
shorten, which can cause faulty replication and result in a whole host of diseases and
problems and shortening your lifespan. And so maintaining the health of your mitochondria
and telomeres are critical, and micronutrients are critical. And I’ve asked audiences around the world
how many of you are eating 6 to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables a day and getting
this amount of protein in every day consistently? And probably less than 2% of the audience’s
hands actually go up. And if that’s you, I can already tell you
right now, you are not getting the micronutrients that your body needs. Now, this doesn’t include your box store multivitamins,
which has a lot of fillers, a lot of binders, a lot of inferior ingredients. We like to use the best sources from the world,
certified for purity, potency, effectiveness, and quality as well, no fillers, no binders,
and using extracts which deliver a higher bioavailability and a better absorption rate
and a better yield because it’s as close to nature as we can get without actually giving
you the wild Alaskan blueberry, for example, which is found in our Sunrise formula. Now, you can also use marine collagen, but
it can cause allergic reactions. So we wanted to use bovine instead. It was just simply a choice that we had to
make to try to make our product as friendly as possible to a wider range in the market
as possible. So, our ingredients are collagen. It is 100% grass-fed. It helps you to maintain your healthy skin,
hair, joints, and bone, gut health, and lining as well. So very important. We’ve added chicory root extract, fern extract,
apple cider vinegar, CoQ10, which is absolutely enormous and sodium hyaluronate. So I want to break those down for you here
really quick. And feel free to take screenshots of all of
these benefits and what they can do. But chicory root extract aids in absorption
and digestion. This is really what we wanted to do from a
scientific advisory standpoint so that you can get the best return on your investment
as opposed to just taking collagen plain on its own. It’s a great natural prebiotic where it actually
helps with digestive health, it aids in weight loss, it helps to relieve constipation, and
it also helps to stave off and fight fatigue. Benefits of fern extract, very important for
healthy skin, digestion again, absorption…see how that kind of comes back a lot in what
we do here. Antioxidant, antioxidants are your neutralizes
to free radicals, and free radicals are a byproduct of metabolism, breathing, pollution,
pesticides and so forth. And you need to have antioxidants to neutralize
these free radicals, which are linked over 90 plus degenerative diseases, and many of
which are actually preventable, and many people are just not getting the antioxidants. It helps to manage a nice healthy inflammatory
response, particularly with those that have joint issues and helps to maintain skin health. And we can bring my wife, Patricia Marrone,
on or maybe you can watch on Kyäni Wellness TV and see her doing some episodes on how
these products relate to the skin because she’s a licensed esthetician and probably
looks about half her real age. All right. I digressed. Forgive me. Benefits of apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar, I love it. I can almost drink it straight. I know many of you are probably going, “Uh,
yuck,” but I just love apple cider vinegar. Why? Because it promotes skin health, cardiovascular
health, weight loss health. It’s a natural antimicrobial, very important,
bone health, cell health, helps to stabilize and support healthy blood sugar levels. One of the biggest things that we have seen
in our Healthy Living Hub private Facebook community, which is a complete online portal
that any of our customers that consume our products on a monthly basis get for free,
that alone is worth the cost of any of our products, or what I prefer to say the investment
because if you’re not getting this nutrition from somewhere, you are going to pay dearly
somewhere else. And I guarantee you your average surgery,
heart surgery, cardiovascular disease, or any of those things, it’s going to cost you
a lot more than natural, healthy supplements, lifestyle changes and choices than consistently
over a daily basis. That’s really the keyword. But one of the big things that people have
seen is that it helps reduce their cravings because we’re helping you to stabilize your
blood sugar levels and promote digestive health, very important. Now, CoQ10, in particular, is very important,
particularly when you look at the amount of people that have been put on statin medication,
which in my opinion, is criminal. Now, check with your physician, I have to
say that of course, but I honestly would never take a statin, period, end of story, never,
nada. Why? Because it depletes your CoQ10. CoQ10 is absolutely essential for your mitochondrial
health. But it also helps to protect your skin internally,
a natural UV blocker, cardiovascular health, brain health, performance, which is what I’m
talking about when it comes to your mitochondria, your lung health, again, skin health, and
it also helps to support blood sugar levels. And then, of course, sodium hyaluronate, this
was a big ingredient that my wife worked on when adding this to this formula. Why? Because it promotes skin health. It’s a natural internal moisturizer, it helps
to maintain the moisture in your skin, helps to reduce those fine lines and wrinkles, skin
repair, skin softening and of course, cellular health. And of course, our hydrolyzed collagen proteins
is unlike anything else in the market because of this unique proprietary blend of the synergistic
ingredients that are designed to help you to get the most from your collagen supplementation. 100% natural, zero sugars, gluten-free, dairy-free,
non-GMO, and no artificial sweeteners. That is a big keyword. And when you look at any protein out there
in the market, especially if you start looking at, like, you know, any of those boxed store
proteins, the amount of sucrose, or food dyes, or colors, or fillers, or binders that are
in them, yeah, they might be cheaper but when it comes to your body, do you want to treat
it like a VW bug or do you want to treat it like a Ferrari? That’s how I look at it. For me, I don’t cut costs when it comes to
my health because I know what it’s going to give me. I can’t even tell you the last time that I
bought a protein from a box store. I just…I won’t do it. I don’t even bother to go look at them. Yes, they’re cheap, and they’re marketed as
this and they’re cheap for a reason. Be careful what you buy. I’m sure many of you have hired the lowest
bidder only to have them cause more damage, and cause more work, and had to have someone
else to come in, and redo it, and do it all over again, and then pay the premium that
you probably should have done in the first place. That’s kind of the same philosophy that I
take when it comes to our supplements. And we on the scientific advisory board were
adamant that this was clear about every single product that we create. But you don’t have to believe me. You enjoy any of our products. Jump into the Healthy Living hub, and you
will see hundreds, and hundreds, and hundreds of testimonials and stories of people that
are loving our products and the results that they are ultimately getting as a simple way
and quite quickly and effective way by just taking this HL5 one to two, maybe three times
a day to get your collagen need met. Now, how much should you get? Now, the thing about collagen I want you to
be really clear on is that you want anywhere between 10 and 20 grams consistently every
day. The thing about collagen to get the benefit,
it’s not a supplement that you can just take here and there. You have to take it every single day to get
the long term benefit. It’s kind of like going to the gym once or
two times for the first two weeks, and then you don’t go for four. And then you go again, and then you don’t
go for six. You’re not going to get anywhere. So this is really important. I don’t know why this just popped up on my
screen, but it did. Let me just escape for one second. I don’t know if I can do…there it goes. So that’s the really important thing that
I want to stress with you. You really need to make this part of your
lifestyle. Collagen is non-negotiable on our supplement
shelves here at our home and our family, and we use HL5, and we use FIT20, which brings
me to FIT20, a new category in performance protein. I’m just checking the time and making sure
we’re good. Now, this is a blend, 10 grams of grass-fed
whey protein isolate with 10 grams of grass-fed hydrolyzed collagen protein. Why? Because we want to help you to get the most
and the biggest bang for your buck because, again, the collagen in here is the bovine
source that I’ve already pre-mentioned. And if you remember some of the benefits of
bovine collagen is that it aids in muscle recovery and protein synthesis. Okay, so very important. And as any kind of athlete, whether you’re
a fitness enthusiast, you’re an industrial warrior, you know, or industrial athlete as
I call it, where you work hard in the week, and you work out on the weekend, or you’re
just simply looking to stave off sarcopenia, you have to get the right amounts of protein
in. This is so important. And I’ve got formulas inside the Healthy Living
Hub based on whether you’re losing weight, want to stay where you are, or you’re looking
to put on muscle, how much protein you should be getting. But most people are not getting enough. In my opinion, you should be right around
0.8 grams per pound of body weight. Now, some people will say that is an awful
lot. Maybe so. But try it, and see for yourself. And I will put this FIT20 performance protein
against any other performance protein in the marketplace today, and that’s based on my
own experience. Now, I know I’m biased, I’m on the scientific
advisory board, but listen, I have been using protein ever since I was in high school, and
that was a long time ago. And I’ve never experienced a product that
has given me better recovery, better endurance, better stamina, and allowed me to get busy
and get after it again the very next day after a hard workout like this product, period,
end of story. And I’m going to share with you why. Now, why did we choose whey protein isolate? Why not concentrated? Why not hydrolysate? I want you to understand, and you may have
never heard of whey protein. I want to back this down just a little bit. There are different forms of whey. Some people will say, “Well, oh, I took whey,
and it gave me a lot of gas.” But which kind of whey? “Like, I don’t know. I just took whey.” Well, there are different kinds. And it’s very important for you to know. Whey protein concentrate is the most often
used. And some medical experts will say that’s the
preferred. I disagree for different reasons. You can do your own research, do your own
homework. Now, whey protein concentrate is the cheapest
and easiest form to produce, and as a result, you will see it in the majority of all products
that are out there. Now, here’s a caveat to it. It is 30% to 40% protein by weight. So the rest of it is fillers and binders usually. You are not getting as much protein as you
think. And it’s also going to still be heavy in lactose
because whey is derived from the process of creating cheese. And so if you ever think of, like, you know,
when they take the cheese and they curdle it or whatever, I forget what the word is
there, and it creates this frothy foam on the top. They used to just throw that stuff away when
they actually realized that that was a really heavily concentrated form of protein that
became whey. And that’s in essence how it was discovered. And so concentrate still has quite a bit of
lactose in it. And with a good majority of the population
being lactose intolerant, I didn’t want it to be a choice. Also in full transparency, my wife was like,
“Please don’t put whey in it for that reason.” And we went back and forth on this, let’s
just say politely, on this topic. But I told her that the reasons why we want
to include whey are very important. We chose to go with whey protein isolate because
it goes through an extra processing step. Now, some say it will denature the protein
as a result, I argue the difference being that instead of being 30% to 40% protein by
weight, with whey protein isolate, you’re getting as high as 90% protein by weight,
so you’re getting more protein. Even if it is slightly denatured, it removes
the lactose. So our product is 99.9% lactose-free, making
it very tolerable including my wife who’s behind me in the kitchen here. I’m at my home studio, by the way, here in
San Diego, and she absolutely loves it with zero digestive issues or any gas whatsoever. Now, whey protein isolate also has a complete
amino acid profile. It’s rich in leucine. Leucine, valine, and isoleucine are three
of the most important essential amino acids that you need. Leucine in particularly as it relates to helping
to preserve lean muscle tissue when you’re particularly trying to lose weight in a slight
calorie deficit, so that you’re not metabolizing muscle, but actually losing fat. Now, if you have a weight loss goal, I’m assuming
you want to lose the fat, and you want to keep the muscle. That’s why protein is so important. It also helps to stave off your appetite for
the thermogenic effect that I talked about earlier, I mean, much more stable blood sugar
levels. Now, the one thing I will say, there is also
a third form, it’s called hydrolysate whey protein. And it’s kind of a combination of isolate
and concentrate. The problem with it is it’s extremely bitter. And the problem with hydrolysate is you have
to sweeten the heck out of it to try to make it taste good. And as a result, you will see a lot of sucralose,
and to me sucralose, like, token amount every now and then, yeah, okay, but to supplement
with it every day, no, because it’s basically chlorinated sugar, and your body can’t get
rid of it so it just stays there. And we still don’t know the long term effects,
yet it’s been FDA approved, and it’s everywhere. And so really be careful when choosing your
protein because a lot of them have artificial sweeteners in there. Of course, ours doesn’t, which I’ll get to
in a moment. Whey protein isolate is also low in fat and
carbs, negligible lactose levels, it’s easily digested and has rapid absorption. Again, another key marker for us. It also enhances zinc absorption, which is
really important. I’m gonna talk to you a little bit more about
that. Muscle repair and recovery, which is the whole
point, not just for workouts, but we all need muscle repair recovery. Whether you’re working out or not, we all
need to get adequate amounts of protein. It is the purest form of protein, and it also
stimulates glutathione production, and glutathione is the master antioxidant of the body, which
also works directly with vitamin C and vitamin E, which help to recycle glutathione and vitamin
C is rich in our Sunrise formula, and then, of course, we have tocotrienols, vitamin E
in our Sunset formula. So you can see why when we engineer our products,
if you will, for lack of a better word, how we think and approach them is how can they
work together in combination. And that’s how we always think when it comes
to putting together any kind of product. So these are the other ingredients that are
found in FIT20 because some people will say, “Well, your protein does cost more.” Well, yeah. We don’t have any fillers, we don’t have any
binders, we don’t have any flow agents, we don’t have any artificial sweeteners, we use
the purest form, grass-fed whey protein isolate, we use grass-fed bovine hydrolyzed type one,
type three collagen. These things are not cheap. This is truly a Ferrari of proteins. And many people will actually supplement with
these other ingredients separately to enhance their muscle recovery, so they can get the
most from their protein synthesis and their protein supplementation. So we at the scientific advisory board said,
“Well, hey, why don’t we just put many of these products that people are buying individually
into one?” And that’s exactly what we did because you’re
getting more than just protein. Let’s talk about L-Citrulline Malate. L-Citrulline Malate helps to improve muscle
endurance, relieve muscle soreness, improves aerobic performance, helps to remove ammonia
from urea recycle, and it also helps to increase protein synthesis. Doesn’t that make sense if something enhances
protein synthesis that we actually want to include it? Now, we also put some…you can also use this. I will say this, it depends on the day, what’s
going on. I like to work out on a fasted stomach. Now, sometimes if I’m not able to get to my
workout later in the day, I will use FIT20 before my workout, or if I’m going to be working
out for more than an hour, I will use FIT20 as well because L-Citruline Malate also participates
in the nitric oxide production of the body, which works together with our nitrate formulas,
our Nitro Xtreme and NitroFX, it just uses a different pathway. Our nitrate product uses the oral pathway
of converting with the bacteria inside the mouth to form the nitrides that hit the stomach
and become the nitric oxide. L-Citrulline Malate as opposed to L-arginine,
which is also found in collagen, by the way, is an amino acid is broken down, has to go
and be metabolized through the liver and go through the kidney before it eventually becomes
nitric oxide. However, that’s been shown to be an ineffective
pathway as opposed to L-Citrulline Malate. It actually bypasses hepatic metabolism, liver
metabolism, goes straight to the kidneys, and actually starts to convert nitric oxide
and helps with these many other benefits. And I’ve personally seen these. I remember one day, honestly, I have to give
my own story here for a moment. I wanted to test it out for myself. I live here in the hills of San Diego and
I went up in one of the steepest climbs on my mountain bike that you possibly can here
and went at it as hard as I could. I then went to the gym an hour later and did
one of the heaviest leg workouts that I’ve ever done in my life, squatting, you know,
over 225, 275 pounds for reps, and doing over 1,200 pounds on the leg press and doing walking,
lunges, leg curls, leg extensions. I mean, in other words, I was just blasting
my legs. One, I never got tired my entire workout,
I took it afterward, and I wasn’t even sore. I mean, I was actually blown away. The next day, I was mountain biking again
as if I did nothing the day before. Now, of course, I do a lot of conditioning,
but that was extreme. And I was truly expecting to walk out on my…you
know, get out of bed walking like I was on stilts or something. But that never happens. I absolutely felt fantastic. I strongly challenge you, don’t take my word
for it, put this performance protein against any other protein you think is better, and
you give it an honest run, and how it enhances your recovery, and how quickly you can recover,
and I think I pretty much know you’re going to be absolutely blown away. Let our products speak for themselves. Now, this is the citrulline-nitric oxide pathway
that I was talking about. You can see how citrulline converts into arginosuccinate,
becomes arginine, and then becomes nitric oxide. Now, I know some of you just say, “Well, arginine
wasn’t supposed to be converted.” Well, it’s a different pathway. It has to go through ornithine, to citrulline,
to arginosuccinate, and arginine again then nitric oxide. And so the problem is is that’s an ineffective
pathway. The other thing about L-Citrulline Malate,
which is really important in particular as well for any kind of endurance athletes…I
used to do Ironman triathlons, I wish I was using it when I was doing it back then, I
can tell you that right now, is that it helps to remove ammonia and urea from the body. It actually helps to recycle them so you can
actually regenerate ATP, which is more energy, which is really quite powerful when you think
about it because when you build up too much ammonia, it actually promotes fatigue. So it actually helps to recycle the ammonia
and helps to create more energy as a result thereof, which is really an exciting thing,
and I’d love to hear from you athletes out there on those effects. So, as I work my way through this animation
on the slide, let’s talk about L-Carnitine Tartrate here. I think I’m doing okay. I gotta move quickly here. So L-Carnitine Tartrate is really important
in fatty acid metabolism. Typically, we think of glucose, carbohydrates
providing energy in ATP, which it does. Glucose enters outside of the mitochondrial
wall, passes through, goes through the Kreb cycle, generates its NAD and its NADH, creating
those pyruvates, acetyl-CoAs that eventually then become ATP. Now, the thing about glucose is it only converts
I think it’s about 36 or 38 ATP per glucose molecule. Fatty acids on the other hand and this is
the argument that the ketogenic world makes, actually create in upwards of well over 90
ATP per fatty acid molecules because it’s a longer chain of fatty acids, depending on
how long the chain is on the fatty acid. Now, the fatty acid goes through the mitochondria,
it goes through beta-oxidation and then creates the same process to generate ATP. Here’s the problem though. The only way your fatty acids, this is for
those of you who want to lose weight, want to lose fat, and you only can burn that off
is you got to have enough L-Carnitine Tartrate because L-Carnitine is the transport mechanism
that shuttles the fatty acid into the mitochondria. Without L-Carnitine, it’s a weight limiting
factor, you’re not going to get the fat burn that you ultimately want. So that is the big reason why we’ve put this
in there as well because we actually want you to use those fatty acids, even metabolize
and burn them and also help create more ATP and more energy. It reduces muscle-damaging catabolism, improves
aerobic performance, it amps up your fat-burning, improves insulin sensitivity and increases
your sugar uptake. Now, magnesium is a very important mineral,
depending on what science and study you read. It’s involved in over 800 plus chemical reactions
in the body, in particular, enzymatic catalyst type reactions. So enzymes are catalysts, and you can always
recognize an enzyme because it ends in ase, A-S-E, lipase, or protease, or whatever. And so my point is is that these enzymatic
reactions require enzymes because many of the cellular reactions that our body depends
on is dependent on magnesium and is dependent on these enzymes, these enzymes are dependent
on magnesium. You kind of see how that whole cycle works. So the point is is that without the enzyme,
some of these chemical reactions would go beyond our lifetime, and we’d be dead before
they can actually occur without them. And so many people, in my opinion, are on
medications because they’re just simply deficient in many of these micronutrients that are found
in our products. Like I said earlier, not attached to whether
you consume our products or not, our products are the best you’re going to find in the market
I’ll take that, but you need to get these from somewhere and they need to be good quality
sources, period. Because otherwise, your body’s not going to
have the tools that it needs. Magnesium is also critical in protein synthesis,
DNA support, regulating blood sugar levels, acid-base balance, maintaining healthy blood
pressure, neuromuscular function of the sodium phosphatase, our potassium pump, if you will,
very important in maintaining that balance as it relates to neurotransmission and function,
so mental clarity, removing fog, you know, all that kind of stuff that goes along with
it. And it’s one of the most common deficiencies
that people have in addition to zinc. Now, the thing about zinc works together with
magnesium in testosterone production. And it amazes me the amount of people that
are put on bioidentical hormones, or hormone replacement therapy, and the doctor doesn’t
even know what their vitamin D is or what their zinc is or what their magnesium… Now, zinc and magnesium are a little bit difficult
to test, but magnesium is particularly almost found in bones, so it’s really hard to test
those levels. But most people aren’t even getting the basics
done, yet they’re being put on these powerful medications and go about their life without
getting the basic foundation. It boggles my mind the amount of doctors that
do this. And I’m sure they mean well. I know they do. It’s what they’re taught. But what I found in practice that when you
solve people’s cellular nutritional needs, it’s quite amazing what that inner pharmacy
will do. It’s very important for that enzyme function
as well, formation of new nerve cells, vegans and athletes are prone to deficiency. The thing about zinc is your body doesn’t
have a way to hang on to it. You sweat it out in workout. So athletes are very, very prone to zinc deficiency. It supports fat loss and also aids in muscle
repair. Now, we also added chromium in here because
it supports carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism. We want to be able to get the most from our
food, to help stabilize our blood sugar levels so you have sustained energy and reduce those
cravings. See, the way you reduce sugar cravings is
give your body high-quality food. It’s pretty simple. The healthier you eat, the less cravings you
are going to have because the problem with the way junk food is engineered, it’s designed
for you to not eat just one. I don’t remember what potato chip commercial
that was, I’m showing my age now from the ’70s where that TV commercial came on and
said, “I bet you can’t eat just one.” Well, they knew what they were doing. They were engineering their food so you couldn’t
eat just one. They are designed to enhance your serotonin,
your mood, your energy artificially, so that you crave more of their “crap.” And I’m sorry to be that blunt, but that’s
what it is. It’s junk, it’s crap. All right. It protects your chromosomes from damage,
helps support healthy cholesterol products, also assists in brain function and cognitive
decline. And like I said, we don’t have any artificial
sweeteners in our product. Instead, we use monk fruit. Monk fruit has its own benefits. It combats free radicals, it actually acts
as an antioxidant. Okay, well, I just went back, there we go. Let’s see if it pops up again. Let me try one more time. All right, lowers risk of obesity, anti-inflammatory,
cellular health, antimicrobial, fights fatigue, is a natural antihistamine, and it actually
helps to support your blood sugar levels. See, we wanted to add sweeteners that actually
give you a physiological benefit. And I’m going to tell you right now, monk
fruit is not cheap. But, again, we wanted to create a Ferrari,
not a VW bug. And I’m not hating on you if you have a VW
bug, it’s an awesome car. But I think you get my point in my analogy
that I’m trying to make. In addition, we also added stevia, which supports
healthy cholesterol, lowers your risk of obesity, anti-inflammatory, cellular health, promotes
healthy blood pressure, blood sugar levels, and is also anti-bacterial as well. I mean, the list goes on. And if you really want to know more, I’ve
literally done an episode at the time of this recording, anyway, I’m almost done, on every
single ingredient found in FIT20. Go over YouTube, go to Kyäni Wellness TV,
and I think it’s the last 10 or so episodes that I’ve done just on every single individual
ingredient, so all there for you to consume. So it’s very important. Obviously, our product is all-natural, zero
sugars, 99%, lactose-free, non-GMO, keto-friendly, and even gluten-free. And it’s certified by the highest levels of
standards in the industry, GMP, NSF, ISO, it’s also an FDA audited facility, and it’s
Informed Choice certified facility as well that ensures that our product is safe for
athletes to use so they can pass their tests and compete evenly with those out there on
the playing field as well, not to mention no artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners,
fillers, binders, or flow agents because anytime you see those, the product quality goes down. The cheaper the product goes, the better you
think it is, but actually the worst for you that it actually is. It is 100% clean. You will not find a more clean, more pure
protein in the market today. But again, like I said before, you don’t have
to believe me. Simply jump into the Healthy Living Hub when
you become a consumer here at Kyäni, and use all our products, and let our products
speak for themselves. But here’s my one request, you can’t just
do it for a week, you can’t just do it for 30 days, 90 days and combine it with a protocol
that’s found inside the Healthy Living Hub complete shopping lists, meal plans, workouts,
accountability, support, everything you need with the right supplementation, and you do
this consistently for 90 days, and then tell me that none of this changed your life, I
would actually be shocked because I know it will. I’ve seen it too often. I know what these nutritional elements can
do for your body. The science supports them, the research supports
them. We spare no extent. All of our products are certified for purity,
potency, and effectiveness, and quality at the highest levels of standards in the marketplace
and in the industry today. And when you combine it with healthy living
eating, with healthy living fitness, healthy living supplementation, with a healthy living
mindset, and of course all the support that you find in the Healthy Living Hub, we truly
find and believe that we here at Kyäni are the world leader in healthy living, and we
hope you enjoy your products and more importantly, stay committed to your healthy living goals. So that’s it from me here tonight. I’ll hang around for any questions. And hopefully, I’ll turn this over to Mary
without any hiccups whatsoever. Mary: You’ve got it. Can you hear me? Dr. Andreas: I can hear you. Yes, ma’am. Mary: So what we’d like to do is everyone
is muted, but you can…it is set up so that you can unmute yourself. But let’s try to do this in an orderly way. So is there somebody who has a question of
Dr. Andreas? Who would like to go? Okay, is that Camille raising your hand? You actually could raise your hand. I can see you. All right, who would like to go first? You’re very, very good Dr. Andreas. Dr. Andreas: Well, thank you. Mary: Let’s get some questions. Anybody? Are you guys trying to unmute? Let me see if I can. If I unmute everybody…can you all self-mute,
then? Okay, everyone’s unmuted. Just in case that didn’t work, who would like
to ask a question? Man 1: I’m speaking from New Zealand. Mary: Hello, welcome. Man 1: Hello. What are the possibilities of getting Sunrise
and Sunset as one product rather two separate ones? Dr. Andreas: They’re not designed to work
that way. Mary: Yeah, I would say that’s not a possibility. Dr. Andreas: Yeah. That’s not something that we’re going to be
doing because of the very nature of one being water-soluble antioxidants, the other one
being fat-soluble antioxidants. So they’re better for absorption on their
individual capacity as opposed to together. Man 1: On HL5, you’ve got a number of combinations. Dr. Andreas: Correct. Man 1: And that’s why I’m asking. Dr. Andreas: Yeah. And so the reason being is in how they aid
in collagen synthesis and absorption, bioavailability and in promoting skin health. But to put tocotrienols and omega 3s, those
don’t necessarily work together with them, and we already got those bases covered. So we wanted to add some of the other elements
into HL5 that work together with the collagen, but not overshadow what’s in the Sunset. Man 1: Thank you. Dr. Andreas: You bet. Mary: Very good, very good question. Anybody else? Hydrellia: I have a question. My name is Hydrellia [SP] from Calgary, Canada. We don’t have the HL5 here and the proteins. I’m still having great success thanks to Dr.
Andreas with your plan. And gradually, you know, my life is changing. So I also have a question. I did ask you this question once before on
Facebook Live. I am 63 years old, 63 years young, and does
age has a factor in the weight loss? Dr. Andreas: No. Hydrellia: No. Okay. Dr. Andreas: Not at all. Mary: We all like to think so. Dr. Andreas: We’d like to think so, but the
body is still the body, right? Hydrellia: I just have to move more. I mean, I do a lot… Dr. Andreas: Exercise, make sure you’re getting
the right amount of protein that are in. Now, yes, our metabolism can slow a little
bit as we age, and we may have to pay a little more attention. However, yeah, I think you will be surprised
it may take a little longer, but stay the course, follow the program, make sure you’re
getting the right amount of protein, that’s really important for you young lady, and keep
that movement going. Hydrellia: Yeah, I did download the app you
suggested that was a while ago, My Fitness Pal. Dr. Andreas: Good. Hydrellia: When I’ve calculated my calories
first, that was a year ago, I was only eating 700 calories a day. So… Mary: My God. Dr. Andreas: And that’s an important point. And I want to address this. I see this with women more often than not,
and it will result in what I call skinny fat. And my wife, Patricia, was one of them. Women, for some reason, have this thing with
calories, that food is bad, and they’re not getting enough. And I actually up my calories, the calories
for my wife to the proper amount, and she started finally seeing the results she had
been after for six months. If you don’t give your body enough calories,
it doesn’t have enough tools. It’s like trying to build a house with half
the bricks. Hydrellia: It is not I was starving, it is
just was not sufficient amount of calories for me. I thought that it is enough. The proteins I increased and I’m using [inaudible
00:55:07]. Dr. Andreas: I know you’re still low. So to go back to Healthy Living Hub and use
the formula, and make sure you use your body fat percentage. Hydrellia: I did. Dr. Andreas: And get a proper number. It needs to be a little bit higher would be
my guess. And I wouldn’t be afraid of that and just
have that right ratio that I recommend in that hub. Hydrellia: Yeah. I did that. I am following diligently like to the point. So thank you so much. Dr. Boettcher: You’re very welcome. Keep it up, young lady. Mary: Yeah. The dietary program that I’ve been on has
been eating six small meals a day and really keeping track. I do a food journal and that really helped
me a lot because then you don’t lie to yourself. You really know how many calories, how many
grams of protein, how much water, and, you know, what time of day and like that, that
I’m getting food. As soon as I started doing that, I started
dropping weight right away, along with adding more protein. Dr. Andreas: Yeah. And you know, one other point I want to make
on this, this is really important because I know sometimes the objection is gosh, it’s
one more thing to do, it’s a pain in the butt to track. And I would argue, it’s actually the exact
opposite because I don’t like to guess in anything that I do. And weight loss or achieving a goal, if you
use the formula that’s in the hub, and you track your macros properly, it eliminates
the guesswork. I just need to hit my total calorie allotment
for the day, wherever I want to be based on what my goal is and have the right ratios
and then I can rest easy. It eliminates all the guessing, and it doesn’t
leave you going to bed at night going, “Did I eat too much? Did I eat enough? Do I have enough protein? Do I need more?” And then people wonder why their results are
kind of like all over the map. And if you track, it just basically cuts through
all that and you just go right to where you want to go. Mary: All right. We got time for one more question. Anybody else? Josefina: I have one. Mary: Very good. Josefina: I’m Josefina from Utah. I have a question about if you…well, two
questions, you want to use the FIT20 as a meal replacement once in a while, which meal
will be better, breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the HL5, when is the best time to take
it or, yeah? Dr. Andreas: There’s really no best time. I mean, you can use the meal replacement however
you want. It can be morning, it can be lunch, it can
be dinner. I’ve done all three. The thing that I like to do when I’m making
a meal replacement is that you need to make sure that it also has the carbohydrate and
the fat in them. And then I’ll take it with a Sunrise and a
Sunset. That’ll make it a meal replacement. So a meal replacement would look like this
for me. I will take the FIT20, I’ll do about eight
ounces of toasted almond milk, and then I will add, like, a banana and maybe a cup of
blueberries, and either…sometimes I’ll put in, like, a half a tablespoon of almond butter,
or I will add, you know, a quarter of avocado for the healthy fat. And then I will take that with a Sunrise and
a Sunset, and that will then more become a meal replacement because you’re getting the
carbohydrate, you’re getting the healthy fat, and you’re getting the micronutrients, and
you’re getting the protein. The HL5 I like to take more on its own. Sometimes I mix it with HL5 just to give it
a lemony lime flavor. But I like to take HL5 usually mid-morning
to help stabilize my blood sugar levels for the day. And then I like to do it again at night before
I go to bed. I like to have a warm tea sometimes before
I go to bed, and then I will add that to it as opposed to a sweetener. So that’s how I prefer to take it. It’s more important that you actually just
get the number and less important more on the time of the day and when. Mary: Well, that’s really great. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this. I’ve learned so much. And I’ll be studying this information because
all of us want to be much more professional in our businesses. And that doesn’t mean we have to be health
professionals, but we have to have some knowledge, and we’re the ones that are going to take
it out and spread it to the world. So I thank you very, very much, Dr. Andreas,
for educating us. And I’m recording this, so I’m going to make
it available on our website. And if any of the rest of you would like to
have it, just let me know. Dr. Andreas: I appreciate it. Thank you so much, Mary. Good luck, everyone. Mary: Thank you. Dr. Andreas: Well, I hope you enjoyed today’s
