This is you, you think that an exercise class
really means a smelly locker room, getting picked last for the basketball team, you also
think that if you take a college exercise class you will be graded on how fast you can
run and how many pull-up you can do well we will pretend those classes don’t exist. You
are wrong. Forget everything you think you know about gym class because that’s not what
they do in the Durham Wellness and Physical Education Center. In there you learn the science
of wellness and are given the tools that you need to get from where you are to where you
want to be. That means that if you want to prevent injuries while you work around your
house, you can do that. Or if you want to learn how exercise can help to stave off illness
or lower your cholesterol, you can do that too. Or if you want to learn how to run faster
