and what's the link between strengthening the neck and cardio? lol
@digitaldude6745 well it does strengthen the neck. it's good for wrestlers and helps to maintain proper posture, i.e. straight back level hips
I love when people talk shit about how many pushups they can do and then they get in position and start nodding their head back and forth and counting…eveyone should watch this.
Working out to Killswitch Engage? nice! 🙂
i heard it was best to make a fist to avoid wrist damage ??
Besides your arms, your whole body should be a cast of concrete with only the arms moving–it's rare to see strict push-ups unless one was in the military.
@primerodimus1 this makes no sense. How would keeping your head up increase cardiovascular stamina? More like put you into cervical extension and promote poor head posture.
@IschysDynamis My wrestling coach always insisted that we keep our heads up while doing push-ups since it helps to increase muscular and cardiovascular stamina; I think that my coach was right since I can do more push-ups with my head down than up.
@random4606 Glad you asked. Face down, neck aligned with spine, feet together, straight, solid posture, controlled motion, 90 degrees at elbows, inhale when relaxed, exhale when exerting force. That's the correct formula. This guy executed proper push-ups. Anyone who demands "face up" is wrong. In basic military training they would say, "Get on your face!" When it was time to punish us with push-ups. So, get on your face and tell your friend he failed. — USAF, combat veteran
@kryktor lol no..it isn't true man
@kryktor after a wile. it does kinda let u rest because it transfers all the weight onto your elbow joints. so it definitely gives u a small rest and can eventually lead to arthritis.
