Soldiers will complete the mandated rest
period before they begin the two-mile run.
Good thing they're not graded on running form. Or on speed, apparently.
If one of the main reasons to replace APFT with ACFT is due to the amount of injuries caused by the former, why even bother including push ups and 2 mile run in the new test? Push ups (though modified) and 2 mile run on top four more events would seem to induce more injuries. Given that every event beside Hand Release Push Up uses significant portion of leg muscles, it really would have been nice if they changed 2 mile run to 1 or 1.5 mile run.
How will this work with the permanent no run profiles work ? In my Reserve Unit quite a few are in the “never run for life” category.
I can see how this ACFT should be! Just give a person a PASS on finishing every event within 4 hours and while everyone else is done, eating breakfast, doing personal hygiene, then getting to work at 0900. My fat ass will still be taking the test!! GOLD STAR!!
Wholey shit you have to RUN 12:45 to get 100 points!! And 21:07 to get 60 points? I can't wait for the walkers to have to get 23:00 to get 100 points! and 40:00 to get 60 points.
